THE DEAN OF FACULTY

MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN OF FACULTY

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication at SAUT is basically an academic organizational structure composed of four teaching department namely Philosophy and Ethics, Journalism and Mass Communication, Public Relations and Advertising and the department of Sociology.

Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the subjects taught by/in the different departments, students are usually encouraged to select or ccombine ccourses taught in the different department as electives that blend well with the core ccourses offered in their respective major departments.

This in turns broadens and enriches the students’ understanding of the respective subjectcts and issues that they are taught and/or study through what is ccommonly branded as a “holisticc” approach.
